(Direct Download Link) Microsoft Windows 8 Consumer Preview and Server 8 Beta .ISO (32-bit 64-bit) – Finally, Microsoft has just released a free full version edition of Windows 8 and Windows Server 8. Both of them is just for preview. Well, actually Microsoft had released its Developer Preview meant for developers only. This one, it is meant for all users (consumers) who want to taste Microsoft’s new generation of PC operating system (OS).
Windows 8 Consumer Preview (CP) is actually a Beta version of Windows 8 which has been released absolutely free to public. Thus, as beta version, users may expect bugs on it which I think it will be minor and perhaps end-users wouldn’t notice at all.
Can I install Windows 8 CP on my laptop or PC? What’s its system requirements? As long as your current PC is capable to run Windows 7 on it, then I think you are good to go.
The best part, if you want to upgrade your PC from Windows 7 you’ll be able to keep your installed programs as well as files. Unfortunately if you want to upgrade from Win 8 Developer Preview, you will be able to keep your files but not installed programs. Unfortunately if you are upgrading from Windows XP or Vista, you’ll be able to keep your user accounts and files but you won’t be able to keep installed programs and Windows settings.
