How To Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1?

Well generally the steps is still the same but here’s we try to outline it again as short as possible:

Step 1Download iOS 5.0.1 (beta1) .IPSW File corresponding with your iDevice

Step 2Download iTunes 10.5.1 beta 2 for Windows and Mac OSX

Step 3 – Download RedSn0w for Mac and Windows (link below this post) then extract its content

Step 4 – Connect your iPhone/iPod Touch iOS 5.0.1 beta 1 to computer

Step 5 – Now launch RedSn0w up >> click on [Extras] >> then click [Select IPSW] >> locate the iOS 5.0.1 .ipsw file >> then hit the [Jailbreak]. Just don’t forget to install Cydia.

Step 6Put your iPhone into DFU Mode by following on-screen instruction.

Step 7 – Now RedSn0w should start jailbreaking your iPhone. Sit tight, wait and pray.

Step 8 – Once done, your iPhone should reboot. Simply boot into tethered mode by clicking [Extras] then [Just Boot] button.

    I have current redsnow and my iPhone is updated to iOS 5.0.1 . My problem is I can’t find (Ipsw) in the extras when I try to jb. How do I specify which firmware I’m running to start jb ? I see both options in the extras section just cant point file there ! Please help me
