Install AppSync On iDevice Runs iOS 5 Firmware – Well, if you read this and coming from search engine, then I’m sure you’re already know about what the AppSync is. Good news, this most favorite Cydia app is now getting new version update compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod iOS 5.
Just a round up, Cydia’s AppSync is a useful jailbreak tweak allows you to install iPhone’s app via its .ipa file.
How to install it on your iOS 5 device? Just FYI, AppSync for iOS 5 is only available via an external repository. So you’ll need to add that repo URL to Cydia. And here’s how..
Steps to Install AppSync On iOS 5
Step 1 – First thing first, jailbreak your iOS 5 device. Don’t forget to also install Cydia.
Step 2 – On your iPhone (I assumed you are using iPhone), launch Cydia by tapping on its icon
Step 3 – On Cydia >> tap on Manage Tab >> tab on Sources >> tap on Edit button >> then tap on Add button.
Step 4 – Now type following Cydia repo url:
http://cydia.hackulo.us/
Step 5 – Then tap on “Add Source” button
Step 6 – Now on Cydia, tap on Hackulous Source >> find and tap on the “AppSync for iOS 5.0+“. The installation process should now begin.
Step 7 – Once the installation done, restart your iPhone.
Step 8 – Finally, launch Cydia again then install Installous for iOS 5 (Installous 4). Wait for it till finished.
Voila.. now you should be able to install .IPA file on your iOS5.
