WBICreator Tool to Create Bootable Windows .ISO CD / DVD – Have just copied a Windows CD (XP) or DVD (Windows 7 / Vista) to your local hard drive? Well if you use normal copy-paste method then you should only get all files minus its bootable feature. So how make a bootable Windows .ISO file?

First thing first, if you only want to make a copy of bootable Windows DVD / CD into your Harddisk, then you can simply make use of Alcohol 52% (or buy its 120%) then use its “Image Making Wizard” feature to copy a Windows DVD installation so next time you burn this image file, you’ll have a bootable CD/DVD.

But what if you’ve just copied your Windows DVD using normal copy-paste feature? So you’ll need this tool, WBICreator aka Windows Bootable Image Creator.

Created by a reader of Askvg, WBICreator is a portable utility which requires no installation, simply download the .zip file, extract and run the .exe file to start making bootable .ISO files for Windows 7, XP and even Vista.

How to create a bootable Windows .ISO using this tool? Once you run the .exe file >> type the .ISO file name will be (in CD/DVD label field) >> browse the folder containing Windows setup files by clicking the [...] button >> now locate where the .ISO file should be stored to >> then click on [Go >] button to start the process. Simply sit tight and wait till the process is finished.

Once done, you can then use any ISO burner tool to burn / create a bootable Windows installation CD/DVD.
