Root Photon 4G with Motorola One Click Root Tool – Well, some leaked tutorials on how to root Moto Photon 4G have been leaked previously either using Torpedo Exploit or using HD docking station with Super User Tool. But if you want something easier than those two tricks, then read on.

This trick will make use of Motorola One Click root tool which we previously used it for rooting Android 2.3.4 on Motorola Droid 3, Cliq, and X2. Yup, that’s true. Simply follow these step-by-step guide to have your Photon 4G rooted.

Download Required Files

Download Motorola Drivers 32-bit and 64-bit (needed):
[+] Download Motorola End User Driver 64-bit (Mediafire)
[+] Download Motorola End User Driver 32-bit (Mediafire)

Download Motorola One-click Root Tool (.zip)

How to Root Motorola Photon 4G

Step 1. Download and install Motorola Drivers above

Step 2. Download and extract the .zip file of Motorola One Click root tool (use Winzip, WInrar or 7zip)

Step 3. On your phone go to Settings >> Applications >> Development >> check mark the USB Debugging to enable it.

Step 4. Plug in your phone to computer in “Charge Only” mode.

Step 5. On your computer, go to the folder where you extracted Motorola One Click root tool and run MotorolaOneClickRoot.exe.

Step 6. Now simply follow on-screen instruction to root your Photon 4G.

Well, this trick actually is intended to root Droid 3 but as confirmed by addictivetips.com, this works on Photon 4G as well.

    runs thru fine says that i should have root but nothing changes. when i try to reinstall the driver, i get a message saying newer driver already installed…. i looked at my device driver and it says its 32( my systm is 64) did i accidently install the wrong driver first? any ideas will help greatly. ive done 3 different ways with all the same outcome
