
Rooting Android 2.3.3 on Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 – Initially came packed with Android 2.2 Froyo OS, Samsung’s well-known tablet PC, Galaxy Tab P1000 (the 7-inch edition) now can run Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS. While Froyo can be rooted easily using SuperOneClick root tool, its Gingerbread version seems a little bit harder to root.

Well, basically the steps are still similar with rooting Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb which makes use of Samsung Odin app and compiled root file “Samsung Galaxy Gingerbread Rooting Kit Pack“. Curious? Try following these steps;
6 Steps to Root Samsung Galaxy P1000 Tab Android 2.3.3
Step 1. Download needed file packed in .rar then extract it (link attached below this post)
Step 2. Put your Tab into Download Mode: Power OFF >> press / hold Power button + Volume Down button simultaneously.
Step 3. Double-click to run Odin3 v1.7.exe, then connect your Galaxy Tab to computer
Step 4. Odin settings: Make sure Repartition checkbox is not checked >> in PDA tab, browse for and select CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS.tar.

Step 5. Finally click on the [Start] button and wait for it to complete the process.
Step 6. Lastly, your Galaxy Tab will reboot and walla.. it is now rooted Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread with kernel version “se.infra@SEP-52#2″. [via ML]
