Jailbreak iOS5 beta 1 with RedSn0w v0.9.8b1


How to Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 1 on Mac with RedSn0w – iPhone Dev Team has just released newer version of RedSn0w which is v0.9.8 beta 1 with ability to jailbreak iOS5 beta 1. So how to use RedSn0w to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch run iOS 5 beta 1? So here it is a short step-by-step guide.

Jailbreak iOS 5 redSn0w

1- Download all stuff you’ll need

[+] Download redSn0w v0.9.8b1
[+] Download iOS 5 beta 1 .IPSW File
[+] Download iTunes 10.5 beta
Download itunes_10.5_beta__mac.dmg – Mac OS X

2- Restore / install iOS 5 on your iPhone (Dev account required)

3- Run RedSn0w v0.9.8b1

4- Click on [Browse] button and select iOS 5 .IPSW firmware file you’ve downloaded. Wait till RedSn0w will recognize your IPSW file then click on [Next] button.

5- Tick / check-mark the [Install Cydia] option then click [Next] button.

6- Turn OFF and Plugged in your iPhone to your Mac then click [Next] button again.

7- Follow on-screen instruction to put your iPhone into DFU Mode

8- Sit tight and wait for RedSn0w to jailbreak your iPhone iOS 5

9- Once done, your iPhone is now on jailbroken iOS 5 (tethered).

10- How to Tether Boot iPhone iOS 5?
Each time you reboot/restart/turn off iPhone you will have to connect it to a computer in order to boot it into jailbreak state. The way to tether boot your iOS 5 simply open Redsn0w >> browse for the IPSW file >> then choose the option “just boot tethered right now” >> then proceed the booting process.
