So once again Apple has updated world’s most popular mobile firmware and made it to version 6.0.1 equipping some bugs fixed and performance enhancements. The 6.0.1 update appears to address several prominent bugs, including an apparent resolution to the iPhone-specific “No Service” after signal loss and regain problem that impacts a fairly large number of users who are in areas with spotty cellular reception. - Resolves an issue that prevents iPhone from using the cellular network in some instances
- Fixes a Passcode Lock bug which sometimes allowed access to Passbook pass details from lock screen
But however, one notable thing that is missing is the lack of improvements regarding the iOS 6 Maps, which garnered quite a lot of criticisms from all parts of the world. That’s so unfortunate 
Jailbreak Compatibility

As of this point, nothing is certain yet. iOS 6.0.1 might have brought some patches that eliminates the exploit which will be used for an untethered jailbreak in the future. Again nothing is confirmed yet aside from the fact that the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak is being actively worked on. If you are a longtime jailbreak user, it should be a rule of thumb to hold off on upgrading to the latest available firmware update. This is for the fact that almost always, the update will surely patch the exploit that makes the jailbreak work. As a safety precaution, it is also recommended that you save your SHSH blobs using Redsn0w which by the way also works on the iPhone 5. This way, you can choose to downgrade to iOS 6.0.
