I am sure many of you ever faced with this problem. A common issued that happens from using a cut down SIM card that stuck in the SIM tray of your phone. And for Samsung Galaxy S3 users, there is a nice simple tip to get your stuck SIM card removed safely. Thanks to XDA member “Nicholas68″ from sharing his experience. Normally, getting the card out requires some interesting tactics. The most suggested way is to use a toothpick with a little super glue on it to pull out the card. But this one is something easier and requires no glue.
And here’s how..
- Use a small thumbtack (or any small object with a sharp point)
- Apply enough pressure to jab into the SIM card a little bit through the little hole located on top of the SIM tray
This will give plenty of grip to move the SIM a millimetre at a time till the SIM card just popped out. No damage was done to my SIM tray using this method.
Probably you’ll have a question like:
Why didn’t you just get a micro-sim?? Instead of cutting your regular sim down?
That’s because not all cellular network providers around the world are issuing a Micro-SIM Card. Well at least in a developed country I live.
