I am pretty happy and satisfied with my Galaxy SIII GT-i9300. But another shocking news is coming from Samsung offering for more compact version of world’s best seller Android phone. Firstly came out as a rumor of Samsung in Germany. The South Korean LCD specialist has a special event penned for October 11th in Germany, and although it was previously thought the Galaxy Music would be unveiled officially, there will also be a Galaxy S3 Mini.
Allegedly dubbed the Galaxy S3 Mini, a repackaged Galaxy S3 could be just that phone but this device seems more the Galaxy S rather than the Galaxy S3. According to the rumors, the Galaxy S3 Mini will feature a smaller (mini) display at 4”, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a dual-core CPU and will run on the latest version of Android which we’re assuming will be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The event will be taking place at the Samsung Mobile Store in Frankfurt and the possibility of a smaller Galaxy phone was gleaned from a few clues hidden in the invitation: the slogan, translated from German, is “Small is now a big hit!” In addition, the typography choices (specifically the ‘S’) are stylized in the same way as the marketing surrounding the Galaxy S3.
Here’s the pic..

Are we paying too much attention to detail, or do you think Samsung will indeed be bringing a smaller S III? For your information: same motif is something Apple will be applying this month by bringing out its own “mini” device in the smaller iPad, and for those who’ve been put off purchasing an S III by the sheer size of the device, a more compact form factor may see you – and many others like you – reconsider opting for the smartphone. Still, it would be nice to see a smaller high-end Android device for whatever reason–skinny jean wearers and small hand havers are smartphone users too. Wow..
