iPhone 5 has been announced officially and that’s just few days ago. People are feeling so eager to have this new Apple’s flagship hands-on. During introductory event, Apple has revealed some of its awesomeness in matters of features and key specifications. But do you want more facts about how fast is iPhone 5 performance? GeekBench has conducted few test to benchmark iPhone 5 in matters if its CPU, RAM and performance compared to others.
THE FACTS
Apple iPhone 5 has:
- Dual-Core 1.02 Ghz ARMv7 Processor (A6)
- 1GB of RAM (1015MB exactly)
- 1MB L2 Cache
While the The iPhone 4S has only:
- 512MB of RAM
- dual-core 800MHz A5 processor
While the iPhone 4 has:
- 512MB RAM
- Single core 800MHz A4 processor

THE BENCHMARK
The iPhone 5′s 1.02GHz A6 processor is faster (scored 1601) than all of the top Android devices of today, including Galaxy S III’s Samsung Exynos 4412 1400 MHz (4 cores) which scores 1560, HTC One X’s NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30 1500 MHz (4 cores) which scores 1085, Nexus 7’s NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30L 1300 MHz (4 cores) which scores at 1591 etc.

For your information, a 1601 GeekBench score is about the same as a 6 year old Power Mac G5 tower but iPhone 5 is much smaller in any way. The fact, it fits in the palm of your hand rather than taking up an entire desk. Apple isn’t one to traditionally boast about specs, but the hardware on the iPhone 5 is impressive.
