The most favorite file download accelerator app is IDM (Interner Download Manager) from Tonec. It features a bunch of awesomeness including to boost up overall download speed by establishing multiple / parallel connections at once. Personally, I think the app has worst UI compared to similar app but IDM so far is the only app having best performance. None of its similar apps can do what IDM does.
Rcently, Tonec has released its newer build of version 6.12 which is build 17 beta while its stable final version is IDM v6.12 Build 15 Retail.
