Texting your girl/boyfriend but feeling empty in the inside? That’s because every SMS doesn’t bring any emotion so its receivers have to interpret what kind of emotion the SMS is containing (eg. angry, smiling, lol, sad, crying, etc). That’s why emoticon and emoji are invented. While iPhone users can simply have emoji built-in their devices, Android users need to wait until they get Jelly Bean update although it is basically easy to install third-party apps like Go SMS Pro and its emoji plugin.
Alternatively, one of XDA moderators “iridaki” has posted a nice little mod to add funny emoji of Jelly Bean OS onto ICS devices. This mod is basically a fix for Sony Xperia devices but he modified a little bit adding support to almost all Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
This emoji consists of funny Android character with several emotion expressions. Emoji characters are an extensive set of icons or smilies. This mod makes use of Android’s “fallback fonts” so it won’t make the whole system performance heavy.
Even it sounds so tempting, you should make a full Nandroid backup first before flashing/installing this mod. And if you thing you are ready, you can download Jelly Bean Emoji via this link then flash it via ClockWorkMod Recovery (CWM).
