Recently, AT&T has managed to release “Device Unlock Portal” which is an online site allowing you to request a device unlock for your iPhone so it can be used with any carrier SIM card.
Obviously it is a great news because Apple has also shown people with initial information about the release of next generation iPhone. Hence, anytime you wish to re-sell your old iPhone it will be more easier because not all people prefer to use AT&T as their main carrier network.
Current AT&T customers will be allowed five unlocks per account per year. Besides, there are several requirements to be fulfilled before requesting unlock. Once done, your phone should be unlocked after the 5 to 7 days it takes to process the request.
