Liberating your Android phone (read: root) probably makes you easy to install any root-only apps and mods. But in the other side you might find some stability and performance issues when it comes too many apps installed. Especially apps and mods dealing with your phone’s main OS, Android. Somehow, you might also feel eagerly to go back to stock Android so you can re-sell that phone. Whatever your reason is, you may somehow need to unroot your phone. Few hours ago we’ve posted how to root HTC Rezound which is accomplished within 20 steps. In this post we’ll see few other steps to bring that highend phone back to stock unrooted Android OS.
As always, we hold no responsibility of what may or may not happen to your phone. Just proceed with caution.
First thing first, we have to check whether your device is S-ON and not S-OFF. To do that, simply take the battery out for about 5 seconds or more then put it back in. Now turn your phone ON but this time hold down Volume Down button and Power button together at the same time. You should see a message like this one:
Vigor PVT SHIP S-ON RL
It means your phone is S-ON and it’s ready to go.
