Rooting HTC Rezound Made Easy – Here’s How

HTC Rezound users who are still in doubt to safely root their phones now can rejoice. Rooting and Android phone can be also be defined as liberating the phone. Once root access has been granted, user can install any root-only apps, tweaks and mods easily. HTC Rezound which is a highend-specs Android phone from HTC with decent performance can now be rooted easily and safely. So if you are one of lucky users of this phone model, simply read following steps to get your device rooted – conveniently and safely.

This guide is provided as it is and we hold no responsibility if your device get bricked. Just make sure you’ve made a complete backup before proceed. Also, this tutorial works to root HTC Rezound running software version 2.01.605.11 or higher.

How To Root

1- You’ll need to setup ADB first [here's how]

2- Unlock your phone’s bootloader [here's how]

3- Now download needed Custom Recovery Image here.

4- Put that file in the platform-tools folder inside the SDK.

5- On your phone go to Settings >> Developer Options >> Enable USB Debugging

6- Now connect your phone into PC with its USB cable

7- Now open command prompt right in “platform-tools” folder

to do that:
- Launch Windows Explorer
- Navigate to android-sdk folder in drive C
- Then to platform-tools folder
- Hold down Shift key while right-clicking inside that folder
- You’ll see an option to launch command prompt
- Click it

alternatively:
- Open Command Prompt window
- then navigate to c:\android-sdk\platform-tools\

8- Then type this command and hit enter:

adb reboot bootloader

9- Wait till your phone reboot into bootloader

10- Once it reboots, type this command and hit enter:

fastboot flash recovery rezound-recovery.img

11- Wait till that recovery image been flashed. Once done..

12- Type this command and hit enter:

fastboot reboot-bootloader

13- Your phone should now reboot into bootloader mode

14- Select recovery. Use Volume buttons to navigate and power button to select

15- Once you are in Custom Recovery menu, select Developer Options.

16- Then select Install SU and Superuser

17- Wait few minutes for that task to complete

18- Once done, reboot your phone

19- This time, once rebooted, your phone should be fully rooted

20- That’s it and enjoy..
