Just bought a new server with WHM installed in and wanted to move your favorite website(s) hosted in a cPanel account from your old host? So here’s a nice easier why I tried few days ago. I think this method is easier free solution so far. I read and tried another method before involving to make full cPanel backup from old host then sending that backup file over FTP connection to the new one. In the end, you’ll still need to restore that backup file via WHM.
Well, if you planned to transfer cPanel account from one server to another, simply read and follow this guide and you should done the migration correctly, safely, easily and more automatically (than the traditional way I mentioned above).
cPanel-based Hosting Migration – How To
1- Login to WHM on your new server
2- In WHM, type “copy” and it will sort few menus
3- Click on “Copy an account from another server with account password”

4- Now enter some details regarding your old hosting account

tips:
- You better test the connection by clicking “Check SSH Connection” button
- Do not use SSL if you want faster transfer process
5- Under “Account Info” section, type the cPanel username (of old server) you wish to copy

6- Now in the “Authentication” section, you can use either your root account or as user

tips:
- using root account is much preferred.
7- Once done click that “Transfer Account” button.
8- If you’ve entered all necessary data correctly, you should see something like this..

9- Sit tight and wait till the process finish
10- Once done, you’ll see “Transfer Complete” message in the bottom page

That’s all. That way your old cPanel account will be transferred correctly and automatically. The important one, this may is much more reliable to do a 1:1 hosting migration. Pretty useful if you want to provide “Free Migration” service for your clients.
