Either the International model or US models of Samsung Galaxy S3 have been rooted with each specific way of method. But all of those methods will rise the number of how many times flashing occurs on that phone. Shortly, by rooting your SGS3 it will effect “Flash Counter” telling manufacturer that rooted phone is not eligible for claiming warranty. But wait, someone on XDA called “mrRobinson” has discovered a nice tricky way root -meanwhile- T-Mobile Galaxy S3 without tripping phone’s Flash Counter.

Preparation
- Ensure your phone has at least 60% remaining battery power.
- Also make a full backup for “just in case”
- Download rooted stock image for T-mo SGS3 [link]
- Download Odin tool [link]
- Proceed with caution
- Make sure you’ve installed appropriate drivers properly

Step-by-step How To
1- Extract downloaded stock image .7z file, you should get a root66 .tar file
2- On your phone go to Menu > Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging
3- Now connect your phone into a PC with its USB Cable
4- Turn your phone OFF by pressing Power button
5- Press and hold Volume DOWN + Home + Power buttons together
6- Then press Volume Up button to enter Download Mode
7- Now launch Odin up on your PC
8- Connect your phone to PC again but this time is in Download Mode
9- Odin should now able to detect your phone
10- Click PDA tab on Odin
11- Locate the root66 .TAR file downloaded previously
12- Leave Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checked.
13- Click the Start button on Odin and wait for it to do its job
14- Once Odin has done flashing that file, your SGS3 should reboot
15- That’s it. Your phone is now rooted.
But do remember that you’ll get only a rooted phone with no custom recovery installed. To install CWM, simply head to this page and follow on-screen instruction.
