Lately we’ve seen rapid mods have been developed for recent high-end Android phones like HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3. But that doesn’t mean developments for other phone models are stopped. For Sony Xperia users, there is another cool tool has been developed and released named as “RecoverX”.
As what this tool has the name, RecoverX is a Windows-based app capable to flash custom recovery image you choose to almost any Xperia series including Xperia Active, Live with Walkman, Mini, Mini Pro, X8, Arc, Arc S, Neo, Neo V, Play, Pro and Ray.
Shared by XDA member “LEDelete”, RecoverX can install ClockWorkMod Recovery: CWM v5.0.2.7, CWM v3.2.0.0. There is also xRecovery but available only for Xperia X8.
Another great part, this tool is so far easiest solution to install Custom Recovery on mentioned Xperia phones. Pretty much useful for newbie flasher who don’t want to learn and follow step-by-step manual installation guide on XDA as with this tool all users need to do is to run the tool, enter “Install”, select correct device in the list, select the recovery version you want then the tool will do the job.
Obviously that’s a shortcut way to avoid that long manual installation steps.
