With that huge hype comes along with Google’s new generation of mobile OS, the “Android 4.1 Jelly Bean”, there are already few ported and leaked builds already. This time the luck is for owners of Motorola Xoom Wifi. So if you are one of the owners in the world, you can install leaked build of Jelly Bean right now and bring that awesomeness to your tablet.
Before installing Jelly Bean on your Xoom Wifi, make sure your tablet is rooted already with custom recovery installed. However, CWM is the best one and most recommended to use in this procedure.
We don’t responsible of what may happen so you have all the risks. Making full backup is also strongly suggested. So if you are aware and full ready, read these steps..
- Download ported Jelly Bean ROM for Xoom Wifi.
- Place that JB ROM onto your desktop for easy access
- Now plug your tablet into PC with its USB data cable
- Copy / transfer the ROM file into root folder of your Xoom
- Now launch ROM Manager app
- On that app, tap the “Reboot Into Recovery” menu
- Your Xoom should now reboot into CWM
- In CWM, choose “wipe data/factory reset” then “wipe cache”
- Now choose “install zip from sdcard” then “choose zip from sdcard”
- Now locate and select the JB ROM copied from step 4
- Now CWM should start flashing that ROM right away
- Sit tight and wait till the process finished
- Once done, reboot your tablet using “reboot system now” menu
- Once rebooted, your Xoom Wifi will run Android 4.1 on it.
