Just few days ago Samsung has pushed out new software update for International model of Galaxy S3 which is download-able over the air (simply known as OTA Update). There is no exact detailed information of what are new within this new update having size of 74.21MB.
However we are sure that Samsung will bring new either minor or major improvements, bug fixes and performance enhancements within every new update.
So recently we have time to record a documentation video showing the OTA Update process on our SGS3 GT-i9300. You can watch the video as following..
The process is straight forward but as that day I was in low-speed Wifi area, so I decided to switch to using mobile data. So I turned off “Wifi Only” option.
How To Install Android OTA Update?
Normally you’ll be prompted via Notification that a new software update is available. You can simply tap on that or you can also Navigate to Settings >> About Device >> Software Update >> Update (Check for updates). Your phone will connect to the download server and the progress should automatically started. Installing the downloaded update is also easy and harmless but your phone needs to reboot.
One more thing, there is an obvious change once I’ve installed this OTA update. We can see a new setting added in Notification leting us to adjust screen brightness.
And here there are screenshots of the whole process…
