Hands-on With Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate

Installation
Just like many other Windows-based software, installing this app is just straight forward with no weird process. All done in simple familiar way.

Starting by double-clicking downloaded installer [download link].

Do not forget to also install “Instant 3D” plugin which is needed part if you want to convert a 2D video to a 3D one.

Done and installed. During its first run, a registration window will be displayed asking for licensed email and registration code (which you can grab it from our giveaway).

Done. Now here’s its main user interface..

As what you can see above, the app has very simple user interface (UI) but don’t be fooled. That user-friendly UI is really designed intended for users to easily understand how to use this app. Beyond that simplicity, hide greater features.

Editing A Video

To start with, lets add a movie to edit. To do that we can simply drag-n-drop a movie file from Windows Explorer but clicking “Add File” or “Load DVD ROM” buttons is fine.

Convert To Different Video Format(s)
This is the easiest task. Once the video is loaded, the app will decide which optimized format is the original video. To convert, simply click on current profile, choose which conversion format you wish, then hit the big “Convert” button. You can also change app’s default output folder or change various parameters by clicking “Advanced” button.

Now choose video output format:

Edit Video Encoder, Resolution, FPS, etc
Lets say I want to convert from iPhone optimized format to Android optimized format which in this case is Samsung Galaxy SII (actually I was looking for Galaxy SIII but wasn’t there – I hope they will add it soon). So I click the profile setting then choose Galaxy SII. To edit bit rate, Video/Audio Encoder, Resolution and Frames per second (FPS), I click that “Advanced” button.

The Fun: Flip Video Horizontally or Vertically
To do some advanced fun stuff, simply bring advanced editing window up. Click on “Edit” menu then “Video Edit”.

To flip the video either in horizontal or vertical mode, simply hit the button.

And the result is somehow like this one..

The Fun: Add Various Effects and Filters
Simply hit the “Effect” tab in the bottom and adjust the settings as you wish. In this case I’ll make the video to Greyish one.

Cropping A Video
To crop a video, it can be done by either adjusting the crop line or by defining the value in the “Crop” tab section.

The Fun: Add Text or Image Watermark
Want to ad your very own custom logo as watermark to all video parts? Simply hit that “Watermark” tab then tick the “Startup Watermark” option.

In this case we add image-based watermark (our logo)to the video. A user can define watermark size, position and transparency. Sounds cool huh?

The Fun: Add Subtitle or Lyrics
Want to add subtitle to a movie or add song lyrics on a music video? That’s fine. Simply hit that “Subtitle” tab then tick the “Enable Plugin Subtitle” option. In this case you have to provide created subtitle file in .srt, .ass and .ssa format.

The Fun: Convert Regular 2D Video To 3D
How to create a 3D movie from standard 2D video? Well Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate can do that for you in pretty simple and easiest way. On main UI of this app, simply hit the “Profile” option >> select “3D Video” >> then define its output format whether it is 3D .mp4, .wmv, .avi or Youtube-optimized 3D format.

The best part, each output format has two available options: the one that needs a 3D glasses or a format that users can watch even without 3D glasses. The one is playable in almost all devices while the other one is for playback on 3D devices like HTC Evo 3D.
