Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is getting pretty much attention among Android lovers recently. That’s obvious as Google has announced this next generation mobile OS during Google I/O event few days ago. Not so long after that, there are several leaked and ported versions already. We’ve seen Galaxy Nexus and HTC One X have already received the leaked build. Today, it is Galaxy S3 turn.
Based on recently released Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean OTA update, an XDA senior member “Faryaab” has created a nice job porting Jelly Bean for SGS3.
So far this Jelly Bean ROM isn’t so stable and not suitable for daily usage except if you are a daily flasher who always being curious of what awesomeness is offered by every new ROM.
The developer confirmed that stuffs like ADB, Touchscreen, Hardware Acceleration, Notification LED, Cellular Radio and few others are really working. Unfortunately things like Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/NFC, Audio, Camera, MTP, and Storage are not working yet.
How To Install
Installing this Jelly Bean ROM is pretty much similar to installing any other custom ROM. Just make sure your SGS3 is rooted first and custom recovery is installed (you can use this tool).
Now grab the flash-able Jelly Bean ROM from this link then flash it via recovery. That’s all. But if you got difficulties and need more queries, just go to this XDA thread.
