How To Backup Your Phone

Step 1.
Once installed, give the app a try. Launch it up and connect your handset to.

Step 2.
You’ll see your device name and the “Backup” and “Restore” buttons in the main page of the app. Go ahead click on that “Backup” button to start.

Step 3.

Before it starts, a dialog box will appear asking you which part of your phone’s content you want to create backup from. FYI: As a Swiss Army Knife for your Android phone, Wondershare Mobile Go is capable to backup: Contacts list, SMS Messages, Calendar, Phone call logs, Playlist Info, and Apps.

Step 4.
Once you’ve decided which contents you want to backup, simply hit the “Browse” button to choose where’s the backup file(s) location will be stored to. And once everything’s set, click that “Backup” button.

Step 5.
That’s it. Sit tight and wait for the backup process till finish.

How To Restore Backup File To Your Phone

Step 1.
Connect your handset to computer then launch MobileGo app.

Step 2.
You’ll see your device name and the “Backup” and “Restore” buttons in the main page of the app. Go ahead click on that “Restore” button to start.

Step 3.
A dialog box will appear asking you which backup file(s) you wish to restore. But wait, there is another best part of MobileGo. This app also allows you to add additional contents (media, apps, etc) to transfer along with the backup file to your phone. To do that, click the “Add Folder” button.

Once everything’s set, go ahead click that “Restore” button.

Step 5.
Sit tight and wait till the process finished. How long the process will occur depends on how big the backup file is.

Install or Uninstall Apps From PC To Android

Another useful feature of MobileGo is its ability to install or uninstall apps right from your PC. To do that follow…

Step 1.
Connect your handset to computer then launch MobileGo app.

Step 2.
You’ll see your device name in the left pane (just like iTunes huh?) then click on “Apps” menu which also in the left pane.

Step 3.
You’ll now be in the Apps page which you can see Install, Uninstall, Export and Refresh menu there.

Step 4.
Go ahead click the “Install” button and a Windows file browser will appear allowing you to choose which apps you wish to install (in a form of .apk file). You can choose any .apk files stored in either your PC’s HDD or your Phone’s SD card.

Step 5.
Click an install package to begin install, and that’s it.

Step 6.
To uninstall apps, simply tick the app(s) you wish to uninstall followed by clicking the “Uninstall” button. You may need to confirm your selection and if you’re sure, simply hit the “Yes” button.

Some Other Advantages

With this app you can also send text messages via your PC directly. Simply hit the “SMS” menu in the left pane followed by clicking “New” button in the top menu.

Anytime you wish to manage / organize all contacts in your phone, MobileGo also allows you to do that via “Contacts” menu in the left pane and MobileGo will displays a full list of all available contacts in your phone. Here you import contacts from vCard files, Outlook Express, Windows Address Book, Windows Mail and Outlook 2003/2007/2010. The best part, you can use “De-duplicate” button in the top menu to find and delete any duplicate entries.

Another highlighted feature of MobileGo is its ability to sync your phone to PC via Wifi (wireless network). So I believe there will be no more reasons for you to jealous with iTunes.
