For many new users of iDevices might feel that default camera app comes to iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad is really a simple app with very few features offered. Some users might think that’s the one that lack of an iDevice. Basically that’s the advantage which means it gives app’s developers to use their imagination and creativity creating third-party apps with many advanced photographic features equipped. We’ve seen great camera apps such DMD Panorama App, Instagram, Camera+, Camera XL, Retro Camera, Camzoom, Canopy,ActionShot, Pixlromatic and so on. Today’s we’ll see another app integrate itself to iOS native camera offering ability to add some details about your pics.

Named as “Dater” this app is basically a Cydia tweak which obviously requires a jailbreak before you’ll be able to install this tweak.
Don’t worry as jailbreaking is easy with Absinthe 2.0.2 (with only one click).
From the official description:
“Dater brings one small piece of missing functionality to the Photos application by showing the date label over all images.”
Got the point? Hell yes. This tweak will add exact date of when a photo was taken. It means, each time you use native iOS camera app to capture a photo, this tweak will automatically add the date of that day.
In addition, this $0.99 Cydia tweak will also record certain information of your pic including its file name, image format, image size, dimensions and where that pic is taken (coordinate location).
To view those information, simply launch “Photos” app, tap and hold over it then you’ll see additional action menu named as “Image Info”. Simply click on it.
Cool huh? Go ahead grab it on Cydia via Bigboss repository.

Thanks! I have been searching for AGES for something like this. All I want is to see the filename so I can get the image off the phone via openssh or ftp! Perfect!
